    IL Department of Employment Security (IDES) Programs and Services for Employers

    Learning Objectives

    • Employers will learn about the 4 main programs offered through the IL Department of Employment Security (IDES) – Unemployment Insurance, Employment Service, Business Service, and Labor Market Information.  
    • Employers will learn about the layoff aversion program offered through the IL Department of Employment Security (IDES) – WorkShare IL.
    • Employers will learn about the electronic system that allows employers to respond to UI Notice of Claims Information Requests – State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES).

    Presenters:

    Tory Davis

    Tory Davis has worked for the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) over twenty years in the following titles: Employer Security Program Representative Intermittent, Employment Security Service Representative, Business Service Coordinator and Business Service Manager.  He now serves as the Business Service Manager for the Northwest Business Services Team.  The 9-member team consist of Veterans Representatives and Business Service Coordinators.  The team works with veterans and conducts outreach to Illinois Businesses to educate them on the business solutions offered by IDES and other workforce partners.  The Northwest coverage area includes the following Economic Development Regions: EDR 1, EDR 2, EDR 3, EDR 6 and EDR 10. 

    Jonathan Marshall

    Jonathan Marshall has worked for the Illinois Department of Employment Security for over 17 years in the positions and titles of: Employment Security Program Representative, Employment Security Service Representative, Field Office Supervisor and Local Office Manager. He now serves as Employment Security Specialist III for the Northwest Regional Office and a member of the Statewide Training Team which provides education on Unemployment Insurance programs, law and application to Illinois Department of Employment Security employees throughout the State of Illinois.
