Our program will feature Jennifer Kramer, MS, SPHR, SHRM-CP of Sikich LLP. Here is a summary of her program:
The employee handbook is likely the one place organizations outline to the employees the rules, policies, and procedures for the workplace, the employer’s expectations for its employees, the rights and obligations of the employer and employee, and the employer’s philosophy and mission. However, it is not an all-encompassing document. Further, it is continuously evolving.
During our time together, we will discuss the employee handbook "must-haves" including disclaimers and employment laws such as the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA); the "should-haves" which includes workplace basics, for example, hours of operations, performance management, and dress code; and the "nice to haves" such as company culture.
