    Join us for a program which encourages human resource professionals to attain foundational knowledge of LGBTQ+ communities and identities. Participants will learn about: basic terminology, common LGBTQ+ terms and identities, the spectrum of gender and sexuality, myths and misconceptions, best practices to be affirming in the workplace, and community resources.

    Speaker Bio:
    AJ Segneri (pronouns: they/them/their) has been an organizer for over 20 years which has been centered around LGBTQ+ rights, workers' rights, racial justice, economic justice, housing justice, and environmental justice, where their involvement led to winning campaigns on public and social policy.

    They also serve on the Gender Equity Committee for their union, the Industrial Workers of the World, plus works at the Sterling and Ottawa drop-in centers for Youth Outlook.  Youth Outlook is a social service agency that works directly with LGBTQ+ youth.
