Accommodating Disabilities in the Workplace
This month's program will focus on disabilities, accommodations and work place modifications. Louise Hrubecky of DORS will talk about different disabilities and different reasonable accommodations that can take place in the work setting. Examples will be shared and resources will be reviewed that employers can look to for assistance in determining accommodations.
Speaker Bio:
Louise Hrubecky is a Senior Rehabilitation Counselor for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She has a Masters Degree from Northern Illinois University and has worked in the Sterling Division of Rehabilitative Services for 27 years. She has successfully provided services to hundreds of customers for all disabilities in Whiteside and Lee Counties and Deaf and Hard of Hearing customers in Carroll, Jo Davies and Stephenson. Louise primarily provides Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling to people with disabilities to assist them with obtaining and maintaining employment.
