How to Teach Your Employees to Be Savvy Healthcare Consumers

Americans will hunt for a coupon that saves them 50 cents at the local supermarket. However, when it comes to health care—a far more complex and expensive service—we rarely ask questions or consider all the options that could save us time and money. From the basics to the more complex “gotchas”, we will be discussing the tips & tricks Human Resources professionals can communicate to their company’s health plan members to help reduce the overall cost of healthcare . A savvy healthcare consumer “cheat sheet” will also be provided to those who are in attendance.

    About our speakers:

Morgan Germann is an Employee Benefits Client Executive with Holmes Murphy. She has been in this role for 6 years and works with employers of all sizes and industries. As a Client Executive, her responsibilities include: leading the overall healthcare strategy and financial budget, ensuring compliance, reviewing insurance in place, and assessing the future needs of her clientele. Morgan has an active Illinois insurance license in Life, Accident, and Health. In addition to her insurance licenses, she has received her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) and Group Benefits Disability Specialist (GBDS) designations. Prior to her role at Holmes Murphy, Morgan was a Human Resources Associate for the University of Iowa. On a personal note, Morgan has been married to her husband, Greg, for 3 years and they reside in the Quad Cities. In her free time, she enjoys watching Iowa Hawkeye sporting events, golfing, traveling, and completing DIY home projects.
